Lunge -Vs- A Wrist Grab

1: When Cary grabs Greg’s wrist, Greg responds by getting his hands together. This flows into a "Salute"* and an angling step forward. 2: It is a common response for the attacker to try to maintain his grip in a situation like this. Cary’s strength is neutralized as Greg continues to step forward. 3,4, & 5: These three shots would occur within less than a second. Greg simply completes his Salute movement by striking Cary on the outer arm nerve line (numbing the arm). Then, as he steps forward, he deflects Cary’s left hand with an A-Frame. This opens Cary up for a lunge that strikes Cary in the face, throat, or jaw. Cary’s right hand is down in the last frame in order to allow you to see the strike. It might actually drop if the nerve line strike was solid. Either way, it would be weakened and shocked so that this series of movements would be very effective. |
